SATs and GCSE Exam skills

Would you like more pupils achieving higher SATs and GCSE grades?

Successfully sitting and passing exams is a learned skill. Good study strategies and habits minimise/alleviate the stress of exams. Confidence in one's abilities to succeed transforms the process into a more enjoyable challenge.

We have piloted the Practice Makes Permanent Exam Skills sessions for SEN pupils taking their SATs and pupils experiencing stress whilst preparing for their GCSEs.

Whilst we have not taken written feedback from pupils once they have gained their qualifications, due to the time lapse in between preparation and exam results, here are some comments from GCSE pupils .

"it (the sessions) has opened my mind to new thinking. .. I now know there is always a solution to every problem if only I take the time to think.. "
Chris T. Aged 15 years
"The lesson was very informative. It gave me a greater understanding of thinking out of the box"
